Youth-led team focused on empowering students to take leadership in climate policy and literacy, from the local to the state level. We collaborate with the City of Morgan Hill on sustainability and policy initiatives, gain valuable experience in public speaking and advocacy, and pursue youth-led projects that directly impact our community. Our focus is hands-on action and we believe in using our voices to make change happen.

Current Projects
Bring Your Own Bag Pilot-Program:
Turned year-long “Bring Your Own Bag” initiative into a six-month pilot program aimed at reducing single-use plastic bags at our community's farmers market. Designed a proposal that meets the logistics to cut at least 65% of the market’s 3,000 plastic bags; secured $3600 funding from California Farmer’s Market Association (CFMA). Funding would support the continuation of supplying free, reusable bags to customers while encouraging the eventual conversion to reusable bag use in the market. Additionally these resources will build educational resources surrounding the importance of addressing plastic waste and its impact on environmental and human health.
Nature-Based Solutions Video Contest:
New action team leads spent 1-2 months creating a video promoting the importance of authentically connecting with nature. They mapped out the video conceptually and coordinated with their team in terms of logistics in order to film the video.
