Youth for Earth (Y4E) Hackathon
In partnership with Stanford Climate Week, SVYCA is proud to announce our first-ever Youth for Earth (Y4E) Hackathon, a chance for Bay Area students to bring their climate ideas to life and pitch them to real industry professionals and decision-makers.
Whether your idea is a policy proposal, a piece of technology, or a community engagement initiative, this is your opportunity to turn it into something real and be recognized for it.
What to expect:
Develop and pitch a climate solution of your choice
Present at an in-person showcase at Stanford
Get evaluated by industry professionals and decision-makers
Connect with other students who care about climate action
Who can join:
Open to all Bay Area students who can attend the in-person showcase on October 25th. Spots are limited, so apply soon to secure your place. All applications will be reviewed, and selected participants will be notified by email!

SVYCA’s Policy of the Use of AI
As a climate organization, we seek to mitigate negative climate impacts; the use of generative AI raises important climate concerns, including but not limited to, energy-use, water-use, heat island effect, and fossil fuel reliance. Additionally, AI-generated writing is often less compelling to readers and detracts from the sense of community and shared humanity we seek to build in SVYCA. Spell-check and grammar-check programs are approved.
