Welcome to your IMPACT journey!
SVYCA Action Teams focus on local sustainability plans as well as broader, regional issues. Each team is made up of young adults, with support from mentors and community members. Students conduct research, prepare presentations, write speeches, setup petitions, attend meetings with elected officials, and more.

We strongly request that you not use generative AI for SVYCA applications and surveys. AI generated writing does not accurately reflect the unique perspective of the survey-taker or application-writer that SVYCA aims to capture with these tools. As a climate organization, we also seek to mitigate negative climate impacts; the use of generative AI raises important climate concerns, including but not limited to, energy-use, water-use, heat island effect, and fossil fuel reliance. Additionally, AI-generated writing is often less compelling to readers and detracts from the sense of community and shared humanity we seek to build in SVYCA.
