Tree Canopy Expansion: Explore ways to support Milpitas’ goals of increasing tree coverage, improving shade equity, reducing urban heat, and promoting greener public spaces, especially in areas that experience higher temperatures and have fewer trees.
Building Electrification & Heat Pumps: Discuss opportunities to educate the community about building electrification, energy efficiency, and heat pump adoption as part of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from buildings in Milpitas.
Reducing Single-Use Plastics: Brainstorm strategies to reduce reliance on single-use plastics in the community, including awareness campaigns, partnerships, and potential school or city-based initiatives.
