Silicon Valley Youth Climate Action has a paid internship opportunity open to 11th and 12th grade students in the East Side Union High School District.
Our Transit-Oriented Communities Internship, supported by a 2026 Valley Transportation Authority grant, is now accepting applications. This is a chance to work on real projects that help reduce car dependency, increase public transit use, and strengthen climate-smart communities across Santa Clara County.
What you’ll do
- Lead workshops and presentations on climate action and transit - Help students learn how to plan trips, navigate routes, and use public transit safely - Collaborate with student leaders and schools to advance transit-oriented solutions - Build practical skills in communication, outreach, and project coordination
